General Perspective:
We are seeking a highly organized Technical Software Project Manager to lead, coach, and support our engineering team while ensuring the successful delivery of multiple software projects. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, a solid grasp of software development processes, and the ability to guide software engineers through clear communication, structured planning, and effective management. This role combines people leadership, project ownership, and technical understanding, ensuring that team members are supported and projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members to provide support, unblock issues, and encourage professional growth.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations, including feedback sessions, goal-setting, and career development planning.
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive, open, and collaborative team culture.
- Assist in technical hiring activities such as interviews, tech assessments, and onboarding.
- Serve as the project manager for one or more software initiatives, ensuring proper planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
- Communicate proactively with clients to ensure we can provide the best service possible.
- Create and maintain project artifacts such as project plans, roadmaps, status reports, risk registers, and change logs.
- Track progress and ensure teams deliver high-quality software on time and within budget.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and blockers.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with QA, design, product, DevOps, and other teams.
- Ensure project documentation is maintained and accessible.
- Ensure the team adheres to engineering best practices and internal processes (coding standards, code reviews, CI/CD workflows).
- Analyze performance metrics, team velocity, and delivery patterns to improve forecasting and planning accuracy.
- Provide clear, timely communication to leadership and stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and progress.
- Act as the first point of contact for project questions, coordination, and escalations.
- Build trust through transparency, consistent follow-up, and excellent organization.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience, minimum, as a Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of software engineering practices, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience conducting performance evaluations is a plus.
- Technical background (for example, previous experience as a software developer) highly preferred.

- The employee will work while seated at their workstation for extended hours in an air-conditioned office.
- The role involves using electronic tools such as a laptop, monitor, mouse, and other necessary equipment.
- This position requires frequent visual interaction with screens, extensive reading and writing tasks, and both verbal and non-verbal communication.
